Are you ready for a musical journey that will challenge your expectations and stimulate your senses? If so, you will love the new album by jazz pianist Joost Swart, drummer Bjorn Waling and producer Jesse Koolhaas. The album is the result of a two-day session where they recorded their improvisations on various instruments, and then mixed them with the sounds from Jesse Koolhaas’ vintage synthesizer collection. The result is a unique blend of jazz and electronic music that defies genres and labels.

The album features several guest musicians who added their own touch to the music. For example, on the track In Tongues, you can hear the bass clarinet of Joris Roelofs and the bass of Jeroen Vierdag, creating a rich and deep sound. On another track, Six Shooter, you can enjoy the guitar of Reinier Baas and the bass of Jeroen Vierdag, adding some groove and funk to the music. The album also includes Amalgam, a song that showcases the synergy and creativity of the trio.

The album is a musical adventure that will surprise and delight you with its diversity and richness. It is a testament to the talent and vision of these three artists who have created something new and original.

The album will fully release in January 2024, we wanted to offer a pre-order for the vinyl early as the online stock will be limited.
You can enjoy the 3 tracks of the A-side that have already been released as singles and the tracks on B-side will be revealed on release day the 18th of January.

Viennas’ “Shared space” is an acquired taste, I can see that most of the album won’t appeal to the average listener. It’s dope though and should be listened to as a whole at least once with a couple beers! Respect. Maudires
